Ok so I'm not a musician, or a DJ, but seems like as good a place as any to share the fact that I'm a vinyl guy. And before you go making fun of me for obsolete technology and ticks and pops and stuff, let me tell you that record sales have been on the rise for the past decade at a dramatic rate. Record companies still produce on vinyl, and many artists are rereleasing on vinyl. Not in place of digital music, but as a compliment to it for those who still appreciate full albums, true analog quality sound (the best kind of sound, imo, but ), and the experience of music as opposed to just the consumption of it. When I go to record stores there are just as many 20 somethings as there are old foggies like me.
Below is a picture of my current setup. Pro-ject RPM 9.1 turntable with Sumiko Evo III cartridge pumping through Cambridge Audio Azur 651P phono amp to my Integra 50.1 amplifier. Three subs, two Monster and one KLH, with complete Polk Audio LSi series speakers.
