So a friend of mine got me into this. I noticed it was suggested in my "suggest me a game!" thread from a year ago. Well, I'm on now. If anyone is interested in running dungeons, my main is currently a level 5 Dwarf fighter. Roterkase. Feel free to HMU, though my play times are sporadic and varied. Eventually I might remake Gretch on this... but I'll need to unlock Halforcs first. Trying to play it completely F2P, but I may end up buckling down and dropping the $7 for Premium... |

...need to unlock half-orcs? Haven't looked into this game so that statement makes me a little edgy. *goes to look things up* What can you play for free anyways? |

http://ddowiki.com/page/Races - Human, Halfling, Dwarf, Elf. http://ddowiki.com/page/Classes - The only classes that you need to unlock are Artificer, Favored Soul, and Monk. |

I played it ages ago, when it was first released. I believe I actually purchased a legitimate, honest-to-goodness boxed copy of the game. Now that's old-school.... |

Well, considering it's a ten year old game now... I stopped playing a while back... seems it's hard to get me to stick with a game these days. DDO was just too... something. Hard to put my finger on. I think a big part was that I got to level 5 or 6 and just... couldn't advance further. The dungeons I had to do were too hard, and the repeats weren't giving much in the way of XP. I have friends there, but they are super high level... granted, they have lowbies and helped me with equipment... but meh. It was also pretty clear that it was not really F2P, but Freemium. I have a thing about never paying a dime on my games (beyond initial purchase... I'm old school like that), so I tried to do the same. Found out you pretty much can't. |
