Looks interesting, maybe even very interesting for us. But they are currently looking for backers. That makes me wonder if we will ever see it released. But keep us informed |

Their website seems to be built around the idea of getting people to fund the project, the screenshots aren't very impressive, and the list of official shards is pretty weak. The concept is fairly sound and strikes me more of what NWN was originally intended to be. Not too sure if we can count on seeing this one. |

I donated up for it, and giving it a go as an alpha tester. Not to bad right now specially for alpha. With the tonight geniuses we have supporting WoC we could really make some magic. |

From what I've read, the skill-based progression system they use doesn't prevent a character from maxing out all skills. That can make max-"level" players pretty interchangeable, unless there is some hard limit to the skill points you can have, past which you lose a point in a skill for each point gained. Or maxing skills is an uncheesable venture and nearly impossible, which my RPG experience has taught me is itself impossible. |

This is definitely one we are gonna keep a very close eye on, and I'm sure I will eventually invest into the developer kit and take it seriously as a potential WoC reboot platform, once it seems a bit more stable (and I save the cashola.) It's hard for me to truly consider it until it launches for real, however, because WoC wouldn't be WoC without this community, but as of now I think it's like $70 to get the game and that's a lot to ask of everyone just so they can play. |

Alpha just released for Shards. I've been playing it for a few days now, very stable, and alot of fun. So fun in fact it got me looking up WoC again to spread the news. |
