Okay, now that I've beaten DA:O, I find myself in the market for a new game.

So, fire off your suggestions.

I want to get on a good MMO... sci fi or fantasy, doesn't matter... but it has to be completely Free to Play.

I was considering Wildstar, but that's not likely to go F2P for some time... if at all. (It looks to be more like EVE, with the way CREDD is set up.) I still might pick it up and count on the CREDD system to keep me active, but the price of the base game will have to drop considerably from the $60 initial point.

So... what would y'all point me towards? I'd love to get on something I know folks are on so... fire away.

Alm and I play LOTRO (Lord of the Rings Online) and it's pretty good. You can be free to play through the whole game, although you do need to 'purchase' higher level areas BUT you don't need to use RL money to make that purchase. You can earn 'Turbine Points' by completing deeds in the areas you already have and that allows you to buy the higher areas.

I was f2p until my main hit 65 and I got a 12 month sub for Christmas.
Being VIP is very nice, but it's not essential.

Alm and I play on Nimrodel server, which is kinda low population and for the most part, is also quite low in jerk population too.

We have a guild up thread for LotR online too, so you guys could post there and drag others in with you.

if you haven't checked out DDO yet I'd recommend it. One of my favorite mmos to date.

DDO?

Dungeons and Dragons Online. instead of the normal quest grind that other mmos use, every dungeons has a quest and you go through dungeons either by yourself or with others. The Dungeons are narrated all the way through, and some of them were narrated by Gary Gygax before he passed.
