I picked this classic up at Goodwill one day for 50¢ and I have been loving it! This is another one of those "how did I never read this before?" kind of books. Of course, the setting is a lot more applicable to me now, what, with it being 117° here yesterday and all...

I had the first two, maybe all three, in my hand, and said "Nah, I'll just get the first one, in case I don't like it...." Well, here I am, mere chapters away from the end of the first book, without a cool second to pick up after its done. Gonna have to keep my eyes peeled for the rest.

Long time since I read the series. Loved it. I made the mistake of reading - or trying to read the prequel/sequel stuff and it didn't end well. Maybe I should reread *adds to ever-growing list of to-read*

From what I recall when I read it... the first book is a must-read. The rest... not so much. lol. I seem to remember the mythology jumps the shark and goes of the deep end a bit.
