This is fast on the way to becoming my main gigging guitar, even though I have yet to gig with it. That changes in two days.
Anyhow, this came to me as a bone stock SG Standard. It will probably stay that way, with the exception that the PCB that Gibson sticks their electronics on has been removed and new volume and tone pots installed, as well new tone capacitors. I'm a big fan of 50's style wiring (it gives a bit great variation in controlling your sound with the knobs) and it can't be done with that PCB.
This guitar is nice and light, has a comfortable neck, and has done every rock and roll tone I've tried to pull from it. Smooth Stevie Ray to hard Steppenwolf crunch.

Yeah, this is one bitchin' guitar. I've thought about swapping out for some other pickups that I have on hand (everyone on forums says they're awesome in SGs) but the stock pickups are so great I just never get around to it.
