My favorites evolve fairly slowly... Not long ago I was on a 5-year-long European symphonic metal kick. Bands like Nightwish, Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil, Delain, etc. Now I'm more thrash/traditional metal... Avenged Sevenfold, Five Finger Death Punch, etc. Though the symphonics get in there, too. Also, female-fronted metal is the bestest.  (Except for In This Moment... Maria Brink just doesn't do it for me.)

Zeppy, you might want to start following Skullbanger.net. My buddy living in Finland gets to interview and also do photography for a lot of metal bands. Nightwish was one of them. |
